This project involved the complete redesign and renovation of a two-bedroom apartment, into a contemporary three-bedroom home. Every aspect of the property was re-imagined to improve functionality, maximize space and enhance its market value.
The Brief
The complete redesign and renovation of an apartment, transforming both layout and functionality. Rather than simply updating finishes, the apartment was fundamentally reconfigured to maximize both space and value.
The original two-bedroom apartment was redesigned to create three bedrooms, significantly increasing its appeal to families and investors. Every room was reconsidered, with careful attention given to improving circulation, storage and everyday practicality.
One of the key design decisions was relocating the washing machine and tumble dryer from the terrace, to a purpose-built utility cupboard on another part of the terrace.
The master bedroom was enhanced with the addition of a compact walk-in wardrobe, providing generous storage without compromising the sense of space.
Outside, the large terrace was transformed. A bulky Jacuzzi, dominating the outdoor area, was removed to restore openness and create a far more flexible living environment. The redesigned wrap around terrace now offers generous seating, relaxed entertaining areas and uninterrupted views, functioning as a true extension of the apartment. All the flower beds were stocked with drought resistant plants.
Throughout the property, every element—from layout planning and finishes to lighting, furnishings and styling—was selected to create a calm, elegant home with broad market appeal.
